Vanities, Styles and Inventory
COMFORT…

Have you ever felt that bathroom vanities are too short?  When thinking about what was good about bathroom vanities and what needed
changing, Vermont Art Sinks decided to make our vanities taller.  On average, Vermont Art Sinks' vanities are five inches taller than
standard vanities.  Why the change?  Not having to do deep knee bends to wash your hands should be normal.  This is one of the
thoughtful touches that you will notice in our work.
QUALITY…

Vanities....
When Vermont Art Sinks makes our vanities, vessel sinks and accessories,
quality of construction is paramount.  With our vanities, all wood
construction means that there are not any pieces of particle board or other
boards that may absorb excess moisture, causing them to expand or bloat.

The joinery that Vermont Art Sinks uses for the construction of our cabinets
is a combination of traditional and modern techniques.  On the face of the
cabinets, where you can see the wood, we use the best from both new and
traditional joinery techniques. Biscuit joints meet dovetails and mortise
joints to insure long lasting, beautiful joinery.  Visit our
about us page to
read more about the construction process.

The Southbridge...

Like the Massachusetts town carrying the same
name, the Southbridge has a distinctly early
American flavor.  The beautiful simplicity of this
vanity shows from every angle.

With a face plate just long enough to hide
plumbing fixtures, the Southbridge can be the
perfect vanity for those who want to make a
stylish statement in their powder room.

The Southbridge can comfortably fit in tight
spots, while keeping its hand-crafted, fine
furniture look and feel.

This Southbridge is crafted with 100+ year old
rescued Pine.  It has a removable top and
adjustable leveling glides.  It is 35 3/8" high.

The Southbridge below right is just 13" wide,
made with 125+ year old rescued Fir in its
natural finish.  See
installations page for more
photos of this custom installation.
The Milton...

The Milton has a classic Romanesque style that makes a distinct statement in any
powder room.  With its strong lines, the Milton is sure to be recognized as a
hand-built piece of fine furniture.  No mistaking where it came from.

Made with 100+ year old rescued Pine, this Milton vanity is 22 7/8" wide by 18 1/8"
deep and 35 3/4" high, has a removable top, and adjustable leveling glides.  With
one door on the face,  there is room for a small amount of storage beneath.

Since each vanity is completely hand-crafted, each can take up several months to
make, from start to finish.  And, since each cabinet is custom built, sizes can vary.

This Milton is shown with coordinating mirror.

The Newport...

The strong, simple, rustic  lines of Newport vanity will make a bold
statement in any powder room.

This Newport Vanity, with dimensions of 36 1/8" wide, by 22 7/8" deep and
35 1/8" high, offers generous storage underneath as well as ample storage
on its top. Legs rest on adjustable glides to help level the vanity to any
surface that it rests on, helpful in that older home where not every floor is
perfectly level.

The Newport pictured here is built with 100+ year old rescued Pine.  It is
made with a removable top.  In the event that you want to change the
wooden top for a stone top, or the like, this is easily accomplished.  This
removable top also eases the installation process.

In-stock Inventory:

At the minimum, this web page is updated monthly.  Consequently, items on this page may no longer be available for sale.  Some of the items on this page
are in our inventory, at our studio, while other items are at galleries or other retail stores. Check the item description to find contact information for
purchase for each particular item.

Size and Shape:

Shapes of vanities and vessel sinks will vary from time to time.  Some colors and shapes may no longer be available, while new colors and shapes arrive.  If
you have a specific request, please contact us, as custom orders are the largest part of our business.  We will do our best to accommodate you.

Due to the nature of handmade wares, you can expect to find variations in color and size, from piece to piece.  While reasonable effort will be made to
make pieces that ‘match’ or otherwise ‘look alike’, all pieces are hand created and therefore will differ.

All furniture is warranted from structural defects for a period of three years from date of purchase.  Normal shrinkage, swelling, cracks and minor warping
of wide board furniture is to be expected and is not a structural defect.

Colors:

Stains and stoneware glazes are applied by hand; therefore, they will vary from piece to piece.  The environment in a kiln is dynamic, changing from firing
to firing depending on the wares inside it.  Consequently, colors within a single piece may have varied colors and finishes.   This is the beauty and nature of
handmade wares.
Milton
To make the frame of the cabinet, a wide variety of glues, epoxies, nails and screws are used to insure
exceptional strength.  This is why you can mount any top to one of our cabinet bases.  They are
designed and built strong enough to hold marble and granite tops.
